The FMGE exam contains no negative marking. It is an online computer-based exam containing 300 multiple-choice questions. The syllabus for Exam contains all the subjects taught at the MBBS level. One can get a license for practice or PG after clearing this test. Students have to score 150 out of 300 marks to clear this test.
There are similar screening tests for each country arranged by the respective medical councils of the countries. Students have to clear the respective screening test of the country where they want to do their PG or practice.
